For those who missed our drive-thru flu clinic in October, we have hosted another drive-thru flu clinic in the parking lot located on the corner of Colima Road and Hacienda Blvd in the city of Hacienda Heights.

Getting a flu vaccine this year is especially important in order to minimize the confounding of COVID-19 with influenza. Wealth By Health is partnered with the City of Rosemead to make vaccines available to the community in a socially distanced manner.

In partnership with Republic Services and the City of Rosemead, Wealth By Health provided nutritiously well balanced packages of essential goods for families experiencing food insecurity during these challenging times amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Essential goods included fruits, produce, meat, dairy, and diapers. We are grateful for our volunteers who took the time out to assist the community in a time of uncertainty.

At the request of Zurmang Gharwang Rinpoche, the monk at the Zurmang Namgal Tse Monestary of Sikkim, our healthcare team travelled to India to provide medical, dental, vision and acupuncture services to the impoverished community in Sikkim and educated individuals in the monastery and the local community on proper dental care to adopt in their daily lifestyle. 

The first coronavirus hotspot in our nation was in the state of New York. Little did we know, the fast-spreading epidemic in China quickly turned into a global pandemic, affecting nations all around the world, including our very own home here in the United States. 

With the sudden surge of coronavirus patients and limited knowledge about this novel epidemic (at the time), hospitals in Wuhan and in other nearby cities have experienced a quick shortage of personal protective equipment such as surgical protective garments, surgical shoe covers, respirators, and face masks. 

During the season of Thanksgiving, we wish to share the gifts of warmth, light and abundance. Together with Rosemead City Councilmembers Polly Low and Sean Dang and the Dharma Seal Temple, we gifted tote bags of necessities to households in need-- including low income families and homeless individuals. Each tote bag contained a blanket, cooking oil, and ten pounds of rice.

In partnership with the City of Rosemead, Wealth By Health provided free comprehensive health services (exams & treatment) for low-income individuals in the local community who are uninsured, underinsured, or cannot afford a visit to the doctors.
